I stepped off the plane around 10 in the morning , in a beautiful atmosphere ,heavily crowded by tourists from all around the globe. The airport is just awesome. We checked out and hopped on a bus for the media village in Barra ,about 1 hour away. We saw beautiful new structures built for this event.
Soon after, we saw the athletes village, where athletes from different countries have hung signs from their balconies. Around 11 am,we checked into the media village.
I’m here representing India, working for Malayala Manorajan newspaper, while my buddy, Hazeef, who we call Hazeeffikka, is from matrurajyam paper. Around 12:30 pm, we made our trip to IBC, International Broadcast Centre, in Barra Olympic Park. I am sure that this place will be busy at all hours of the day for the next 3-4 weeks. We won’t start our work until Tuesday since many of our folks aren’t here yet,but only arrive Wednesday or Thursday before the opening ceremony on Friday.
